I just moved to a town with a population of 1400 and the library is still running on Windows 98. I would like to get them Windows 7 update. How can I go about doing this? If I had the money I would just buy it for them, but I don’t.

In addition to the license costs for Windows 7 you need to factor in the costs for new computer hardware.
Windows 98 computers are likely to be too underpowered to run Windows 7.

Windows 7 MINIMUM requirements are:
Processor 1Ghz
Memory 1 GB

Remember this is the minimum – 3Ghz CPU and 2GB RAM is more realistic.

Question by Enigmozz Enigmo: Is it possible to upgrade from windows 7 home premium to windows 7 ultimate?
I know I can install it, but I was wondering if I can upgrade it without losing all my files. I’m currently using Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) and I am wishing to go to Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) or Windows 7 Professional (64-bit). I’m assuming I can upgrade without files being deleted since I am already on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, but I’m not 100% sure. Can somebody please confirm it for me?
