Question by Gaurav: How to transfer itunes to new windows 7 laptop with belkin transfer cable?
I recently got a alienware m15x and would like my itunes library from my old xp computer to be transferred. I don’t only want the songs, I want ALL the things such as playlist, ratings, album artwork, and date added to my old computer to be transferred. How do I do this, I bought a belkin transfer cable for a windows xp to windows 7 computer already.

I haven’t done this by way of transfer cable, but on the Win 7 machine go to Start (Icon)-> All Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> Windows Easy Transfer. It will walk you through exactly how to do it. I know there is an option for using a cable in there, I just don’t know it will work for XP to 7.

I have Windows 7 Home Basic key affixed on my SONY VAIO – VPCEA21EH. I formatted it for Ubuntu but unfortunately they are still developing Sound Drivers for this machine.
I need to reinstall Windows 7 Home Basic. How do I get the software disk?
Yes, I was dumb, I did not create backup disks.

restart your computer and Press F10 continuously as the computer starts and you should be able to reinstall windows7

Ive got an xpsm1530 with xp, Im a student so I can get windows 7 pro for £35. Would it add more than £35 onto the sale value of my laptop as I’m thinking of selling it soon.

Yahuh, because you would of payed that to put it on / but also they could argue that its not there licensed copy of windows. If you can get away with it try?
